Hurricane Idalia recovery programs for farmers launched

Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Wilton Simpson recently announced the launching of two new programs aimed at helping area farmers who were impacted by Hurricane Idalia. The programs carry with them more than $112 million in funding to help the state’s farmers, ranchers and growers rebuild and recover after the hurricane. Those agricultural producers impacted by the storm can apply for the Agriculture and Aquaculture Producers Natural Disaster Recovery Loan Program and the Silviculture Recovery Program.
