North Florida College Contributor Starting Spring Semester 2024, the inaugural North Florida College HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) certification program will begin training at its Perry Location on 319 N. Byron Butler Parkway. Students will have the opportunity to learn with state-of-the-art training equipment that allow for real-world experiences. This hands-on education will prepare students for employment or advanced training in the HVAC/R industry. Through the program, students can obtain an EPA certification and North American Technician Excellence (NATE) certification prior to graduation. NFC welcomes the community to learn more about the HVAC/R certification and its many other career and workforce education offerings during its Career and Workforce Education Open House on Thursday, November 2, from 5-7 pm at the Perry Location. All are invited to come learn more about careers they can start at NFC: HVAC/R; Commercial Vehicle Driving - CDL A, CDL B, Endorsements: Hazmat, School Bus & Passenger; Industrial Machinery Maintenance; Production and Manufacturing; EMT and Paramedic; Public Safety Academy; Accounting and Business Programs; Early Childhood Education; and Nursing - BSN, RN and LPN; and more! When potential students apply for NFC during the event, they will be eligible to win scholarships. All scholarships awarded as part of the Open House must be used within one year of the drawing. As an extra bonus, the $20 NFC admission application fee will be waived for anyone completing a paper application for admission at the Perry location during the event. The event will offer students admissions and financial aid assistance and provide participants refreshments and giveaways.
