I can resist everything except temptation

There are times when I can truly relate to the Apostle Paul when he stated in Romans 7, “That which I wouldn’t do, that do I do.” I face temptations every day, and sometimes I give in to them, and suffer the consequences. Temptations are all around us and have been occurring since the first temptation in Genesis 3. Eve ate the forbidden fruit and gave it to Adam who also ate. We often focus on the first sin of disobedience resulting from temptation, but the second sin resulting from giving in to temptations is something that still holds many of us back from fully realizing the fullness of God’s grace in our lives.
