"I DID IT!"...unless you are a defendant in a court room or in a police interrogation room, those three one syllable words bring pride, joy, and a sense of accomplishment to life. Pay attention to the joy in a child's face when they learn how to ride a bike, catch a fish, get good grades, catch a ball...when they scream these three words, you can't help but feel their joy.
How wonderful would life be if all of us have a lot of "I DID IT!" in our lives. The only feeling that equals it is when you and your loved ones say "WE DID IT!"
On the other side of the coin are three words that bring failure, hatred, anger and dependency to life: "YOU OWE ME!" Those three words are being encouraged by our government. I, for one, am glad to have had only "I DID IT!" and "WE DID IT!" in my life. I owe that to my grandparents and parents, who came to this country with nothing and taught us never to use those three words: "YOU OWE ME!"...and for that, I do owe them. Instead, we were told to give something back to the greatest country and people on the planet.
If you are the "YOU OWE ME!" kind, I pray you get to experience the joy that "I DID IT!" brings. Believe me, it will raise you up instead of keeping you down. I have witnessed such a positive change in persons that went from "YOU OWE ME!" to "I DID IT!".
We taught our children to embrace "I DID IT!," for their joy is our joy. They know that no one owes them anything. Good work ethics and hard work will bring a lot of I DID IT!s into their life. I thank God and the American people for allowing me to experience many "I DID IT!s in my life...for my parents and me becoming citizens, my wife graduating with honors later in life to better herself, paying her student loans, building our first home, watching our children work hard to succeed, watching our boys serve in the military, for retiring comfortably by putting off instant gratification and sticking it out by coming to work every day to a job that didn't pay well, but made me feel like I was giving back and allowed me to provide for our children's needs and all while praising God.
Only you can choose...will it be "I DID IT!" or "YOU OWE ME!”? Don't let the government pick for you. They did in Cuba, where all our I DID IT!s were taken away and the government to this day says "WE OWE THEM!"...because they weren't satisfied with taking our I DID IT!s...they took our freedoms next..
