I’m a jackass for Jesus

Donkeys are classified as asses. Jacks are male asses, hence jackasses. It’s generally not flattering to be called a jackass. The worldly definition of a jackass is a person who is stupid, foolish or offensive. As much as I hate to admit it, there have been times when I have been guilty of each one if not all three of these. Actions are one thing, possessions are another challenge. Having just read once again the Palm Sunday Scripture of Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey, I found myself once again wondering what the guy who gave the donkey for Jesus to ride into Jerusalem on that first Palm Sunday was thinking.
