The woods of Lloyd may seem unassuming and quiet, yet hidden beyond the treeline is a strange sight—statues, sculptures, buildings and trails all surrounding a modern castle once known as The Nautilus Foundation, all that remains of the dream of an eccentric professor, Francois C. Bucher. The Nautilus Foundation was left unfinished—as many ideas we have so often are—but his vision is written clearly on every inch of the grounds, in the strange shapes and sights of the Trivium and Quadrivium. His vision for the Nautilus Foundation, as well as Bucher himself, have faded into history, yet it still lives on through the stories his buildings tell.
