It’s a crime to steal campaign signs

Rick Patrick ECB Publishing, Inc. With the election season hitting its peak, folks are reminded that it is against the law to steal, vandalize or otherwise deface campaign signs. The signs are considered personal property, and stealing them is against Section 812.014 of the Florida Statutes which criminalizes theft. Those seeking political office are reminded they should obtain permission from property owners before placing signs on private property. In addition, political campaign signs ma
