
JAG reveals newest exhibit

On Saturday, March, 1, the Jefferson Arts Gallery launched the opening of its latest exhibit, a display of the work of Tallahassee artist Debo Groover, who co-owns Debortina Studio. Groover specializes in bright, vivid patterns that she creates using a mixed media blend of acrylic paints and polymer clay. The clay she designs colorful patterns with, molding her designs into logs of varying sizes before slicing off thin pieces to use in her art. This method of creation came to Groover after a fire destroyed years of her ceramics work. As an avid potter, this was devastating, and after some time away from her craft, she began to dabble in creating again
