James Jefferson Willie “Jim”, born Aug. 14, 1956 in Lloyd, Fla., passed away Aug. 6, 2021, under the care of Big Bend Hospice. Jim was a simple man, who was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved the Florida Gators, every sport, whether he was watching or listening to it on the radio. Jim loved cookouts and spending time down at the duck camp. He spent his life working for local nurseries and in the sod fields. He had a green thumb whether it was landscaping or lush gardens.
He was preceded in death by his parents: James Edward Willie “Eddie Boy” and Gwendolyn Thompson Willie “Gwen"; and his brother-in-law: Shelby Lastinger. He is survived by his daughter: Gwendolyn Abigail Willie “Abbie”; his grandchildren: Kaden, Adalyn, and Kallen Martin; his sister: Pennie Willie Lastinger; nephew: Edward Lastinger “Eddie”; niece: Celia Sorensen (Tom); great-nephews: Johnny, Tommy, and David; great-nieces: Shelby, Melena, and Maggie; former wives: Gail Mckown Paramore, Jean Mozert Moore Willie; stepchildren: Dana Moore Latimer (Miles), Thad Bruce Mozert (Deborah), and James Andrew Moore (Pamela); grandchildren: Joseph Moore (Amanda); and Christopher Clements (Nicole); great-grandchildren: Hannah, Cole, Sawyer, and Emilia Moore; and so many close friends.
