Janie Ann Lane, a lifelong resident of Madison County, Fla. succumbed to her battle with pancreatic cancer on September 23, 2002.
Janie Ann lived in Greenville most of her life. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Greenville, Fla. She loved being outside. You could often find Janie Ann working in her garden or in her yard, and then cooling off in her pool. She had many jobs over the years, but she loved serving others and at the restaurant that she and JA ran. Her most loved “job” was being a nanny to her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by many. “Until we meet again, we will be missing you.”
She is survived by her husband of thirty-nine years, Julius (JA) Lane; three sons: Christ O’Neal, Jody Scott and Eddie Peters; several nieces and nephews: William Calhoun, Lea Scott, Danielle Kinsey, David Scott, Lindsey Scott, Frances Scott and J.J. Seals; two stepsons: Gary and Kathy Lane and Julius and Angel Lane; thirteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Juanita Scott and Jeanette (Pom) Scott (Deceased.)
There will be a Graveside service on Friday, Oct. 16, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Hensey Cemetery on Highway 90 West of Greenville, Fla. Rev. Bryant Thigpen will officiate. Jessica Ratliff and Brian Norris will provide special music. A fellowship time will follow at the home of her son, Chris O’Neal, following the services.
