Jason Welty appointed as new Jefferson County Clerk of the Court

He is Jason Welty, appointed by the governor late last week and sworn into office by Circuit Judge Dawn Caloca-Johnson on Monday evening, Nov. 13. A graduate of Hanover College with a BA in political science and a master’s in public affairs from Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis, Welty comes to the clerk’s job with a lengthy resume of public service in Florida government since 2005.
