JCS engages private food service company

Laura Young ECB Publishing, Inc. SLA Food Service Management Company is poised to provide cafeteria meals for Jefferson County Schools (JCS) beginning with the 2024-25 school year. Their 226-page proposal for a one-year contract with up to four-year renewal was presented to the Jefferson County School Board in May, discussed at the board's workshop meeting on June 20, 2024, and approved with a 5-0 vote at the board's special meeting on June 24, 2024. The contract period was expected to begin July 1.
