Just before their Winter Break, elementary students at Jefferson County K-12 School (JCS) spent one morning making the rounds in the school's gymnasium and back parking lot to meet community members representing a wide range of jobs. At the Career Day, organized by JCS Guidance Counselor Latara Leland, students in kindergarten through sixth grade got to pet a small alligator, climb aboard an airboat, peek inside a firetruck, see a giant rescue truck, interact with a health app, meet a fitness trainer, talk to a Navy recruiter, learn about orthodontics, view a professional photography display, examine butterfly specimens and more!
