JCS unveils commissioned mural

A vivid mural depicting a student traveler with symbolic companions now fills three of the high-ceilinged walls in the front office building at Jefferson County K-12 School (JCS). Artist Michael Crowne was commissioned by the Community Partnership School (CPS) at JCS to create a mural that visually expresses the four pillars of the CPS model: expanded learning, family engagement, wellness and collaborative leadership. At the unveiling on Tuesday, April 23, Crowne presented his finished “dreamscape,” talked about his creative process and demonstrated the interactive elements of the art installation.
