JCSO Lt. Dan Williams promoted to Captain

Heather Ainsley  ECB Publishing, Inc.  This January, Lieutenant Dan Williams of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office received a promotion to the position of Captain. Williams has been with JCSO for 16 years, having started as a patrol deputy in 2009. From there, he worked his way up the ranks to Sergeant, and then later Lieutenant in 2019. In recent years, JCSO Captain, Bill Massey, transferred to another department to serve as Captain over Courthouse Security and Civil Processing, and Williams assumed many of the overlapping responsibilities left by the vacancy.
