For the month of January, the Jefferson Arts Gallery (JAG) celebrates the fiber arts. Art made using fibers includes string/thread work, including weaving, needlework (like knitting, crocheting, embroidery and quilting), lace making and knot work (such as macrame, etc.). Felting also can be used as a medium for creating fiber sculptures and a variety of pieces using wool or even fur.
Events kick off on Saturday, Jan. 13, with the opening of the “Fibers Are Fun” exhibit at JAG. Enjoy refreshments and a first viewing of a magnificent array of art created with the medium of fibers from noon until 4 p.m. The exhibit will continue to awe and inspire until
