Jefferson becomes eligible for FEMA help after Debby – Deadline to apply is Oct. 9

Federal Emergency Management Agency Contributor Homeowners and renters in Jefferson County who had uninsured damage or losses caused by Hurricane Debby now can apply for disaster assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). FEMA may be able to help with serious needs, displacement, temporary lodging, basic home repair costs, personal property loss or other disaster-caused needs. Previously, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lafayette, Levy, Madison, Manatee, Sarasota, Suwannee and Taylor counties were authorized for assistance to households. On Aug. 28, FEMA announced that individuals in Jefferson and Alachua counties also are now eligible. The quickest way to a
