Jefferson County gets results from EM Day at the Capitol

Each year the Florida Legislature holds an Emergency Management Day at the Capitol. It's a time for the people who lead disaster response efforts in Florida's counties to meet with their state senators and representatives to give input on proposed bills related to emergency management, show appreciation for past appropriations, nurture working relationships and keep the concerns and needs of their communities as a priority with lawmakers. In 2024, EM Day took place on Tuesday-Wednesday, Feb. 6-7, and included around 13 hours of time to accomplish these goals.
