Jefferson County has a new Animal Control Officer

Heather Ainsley ECB Publishing, Inc. This summer, the long-vacant position of Jefferson County Animal Control Officer has been filled at last. Formerly, the only other Animal Control Officer for the county was Robbie Slack, who also works full-time as Director over Animal Control and Solid Waste Management. Currently, the position has been filled by Bobbi Pigott who, upon finishing his training, will be fully certified to handle animal-related calls in the county. As the county's Animal Control officer, Pigott will work alongside Slack to look after the health and welfare of animals both in the impound kennels at the Animal Control office and out in the county.
