Jefferson County hires a lobbyist

Jefferson County now has its own paid lobbyist to safeguard its interests, promote its agenda in the legislature and keep it abreast of happenings in the state capitol. Acting on the recommendation of the selection committee that evaluated the four proposals received, the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners on Thursday, Dec. 18, awarded the contract for professional lobbyist services to The Southern Group of Florida, Inc. (The Southern Group). The
