Jefferson County REC wins state voter turnout award

On Jan. 9, during the spring quarterly meeting for the Republican State Executive Committee in Orlando, the Jefferson County Republican Executive Committee (REC) was awarded first place for Rural County Overall Turnout. The voter turnout of Jefferson County republicans on Election Day, Nov. 5, 2024, was greater than 92 percent, according to Chairman Glen Bishop. This percentage was the highest in the state, but because Jefferson County is classified as
