Jefferson Somerset's high school students will attend the National College Fair Exhibit, which is taking place on Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center Hall in Jacksonville, FL.
Fair hours go from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This event is free and open to the public.
National College Fairs are the perfect place for college-bound students to begin their college search.
Admission representatives from schools across the country are all gathered in one place, all with the goal to encourage students to learn more about their represented institutions and help students sort through the qualities they are looking for in a college.
Jefferson Somerset High School students will use their visit to:
• Explore options. Each fair attracts representatives from 175 to 400 colleges. The schools are located throughout the US and from around the globe.
• Ask questions. What’s college life like? What majors are popular on campus? Chatting with representatives from a variety of colleges can help students cement their own preferences.
• Gather information. Pick up brochures and other materials about the schools that interest the students. Students will be provided a barcode that admission reps can scan—an easy way to help colleges follow up with interested students after the fair.
