Judge deals with flurry of pre-trial motions in Reams’ case

Circuit Court Judge Stephen Everett last week dealt with a series of pretrial motions by the defense and prosecution relative to the criminal case of former Clerk of Court Kirk Reams, ruling on some of the motions and reserving a decision on others for a later day.
The nearly two-hour hearing on Monday morning, April 22, was held in the Leon County Courthouse, with State Attorney Jack Campbell representing the prosecution and Defense Attorney David Finger representing Reams, who is accused of grand theft and organized scheme to defraud. Also representing Reams were Attorneys David and Charles Collins.
