
Judge dies as result of single-vehicle accident

Judge Dawn Caloca-Johnson, who long served as a circuit judge in Jefferson County for the Second Judicial Circuit, died on Sunday, May 4, following a single-vehicle accident in Gulf County on the previous day. She was 61.
According to a Facebook post by her husband, Ken Johnson, the judge had been on her way to Cape San Blas to join him on a camping trip when she encountered an emergency that caused her truck to leave the road, sideswipe a tree and flip over.
