Judith Delilah Thomas Lastinger, age 76, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2019.
She was a member of Central Baptist Church, of Aucilla, Fla., and she loved her Lord.
Judy worked for the State of Florida Comptroller’s Office for 32 years and retired as an Accountant I. She loved playing Canasta and going to Biloxi, Miss. She was predeceased by her parents, J.B. and Stella Thomas; a sister, Martha Sullivan, and her grandson, Dennis Lastinger.
Left to cherish her precious memories are her three sons: Tommy Umphress (Kelly), of Tallahassee, Fla.; Ed Lastinger (Shan), of Lusby, Md., and Perry Lastinger (Dana), of Monticello, Fla.; a brother, Jim Thomas (Sharon), of Tallahassee; a sister, Donna Smith, of Aucilla; a special cousin and "Soul Sista", Shirley Williams, of Malone, Fla.; her grandchildren: Jake Umphress, Troy Lastinger, Cameron Lastinger, Abby Lastinger, Hunter Lastinger, Chrissy Lastinger and Catherine Lastinger; her great-grandchildren: Claire Lastinger and Damon Lastinger; and many cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Beggs Funeral Home. A funeral service was held at on Monday, Sept. 2, at Central Baptist Church, with a visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1, at Beggs Funeral Home, in Monticello. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Big Bend Hospice.
