Keeping it cool with Jefferson Communities Water System, Inc.

For some in Jefferson County's more rural communities, however, water can be challenging to access. If a water service does not extend to their areas, they may have to arrange well service installation, which can sometimes be expensive or have a waitlist. For those residents, Jefferson Communites Water System, Inc. (JCWS), a non-profit corporation located in Lloyd, is dedicated to ensuring Jefferson County citizens have access to water. JCWS's story began on Dec. 7, 1998, when it was organized by Lloyd community members with the purpose of providing water to the local residents
