The temperature is steadily dropping outside, and as these autumn winds arrive, brisk and chilly, many of us are shutting the windows and turning the heat up, eager to turn our homes into cozy cottages full of warmth and comfort. But with heat always comes a certain level of risk, as space heaters, wood stoves and fireplaces have often been sitting in storage for several months before being pulled out again and dusted off for use.
