Kids Incorporated of the Big Bend hosted the most recent Monticello Jefferson County Chamber After 5 networking event last Thursday evening, April 19. Employees walked their guests around the facility, located at 395 East Washington Street.
Kids Incorporated is a community-based organization providing quality, comprehensive services to families with children ages 0-3 years and pregnant women in Jefferson, Madison and Leon counties. These services include: quality early education and care, health-disability-nutrition, family and community partnerships, and services to pregnant women.
A minimum of 10 percent of the children served have special needs; the instructors strive to help children reach their developmental milestones and provide parents with the tools to be the best parents they can be.
Kids Inc. has an active volunteer program and accepts financial and other donations. They host several children's events and festivals through the year including Kidsfest, held on the first Saturday each May at the North Florida Fairgrounds; A Night of Champions, in November; and Havana Nights, in January.
Kids Inc. is a not-for-profit organization and a United Way certified agency.
