In just their fourth season of playing volleyball, the Aucilla Christian Academy Lady Warriors have already improved upon their program-best record. The Lady Warriors now have a record of 10-3, with an unblemished district record of 5-0. The success they have enjoyed this season has them eying a first-ever District Championship.
On Thursday, Sept. 20, the Lady Warriors traveled to Tallahassee to face a very tough Lady Marauder team from Maclay School. The Lady Warriors were defeated in three sets: 21-25, 16-25 and 17-25.
On Friday, Sept. 21, the Lady Warriors' varsity team returned to winning form by defeating district rival Community Christian in straight sets: 25-22, 25-19 and 25-17. The junior varsity team fell in two hard-fought sets: 23-25 and 22-25.
On Monday, Sept. 24, the Lady Warriors were again on the road. This time they traveled to Madison for a match with the Cowgirls of Madison County High School. The Lady Warriors tallied 24 kills and 10 serving aces on their way to a three-set victory. The set scores were 25-16, 25-17 and 25-15.
On Tuesday, Sept. 25, the Lady Warriors took on rival Munroe High School in Quincy. The Lady Warriors were again victorious with another straight-set win. The Lady Warriors had 22 kills and 13 serving aces. Set scores for the match were: 25-4, 25-11 and 25-19.
The final home match for the Lady Warriors will be on Thursday, Oct. 11, at 6:30 p.m. in the Aucilla Christian Academy gym.
