The Aucilla Christian Academy (ACA) Lady Warriors varsity volleyball team is well on their way to another dominating season on the volleyball court. The Lady Warriors have an undefeated 8-0 record going into mid-September.
The Lady Warriors opened their season on the road to Live Oak to face the Lady Bulldogs of Suwannee High School. It was a tough match, but the Lady Warriors picked up their first win, 3-1. Set scores for the match were 25-21, 25-20, 19-25 and 25-21.
Next was a trip to Tallahassee on Thursday, Aug. 26, for a match with FAMU High School. The Lady Warriors won the match in straight sets: 25-20, 25-19 and 25-12.
The Lady Warriors continued their road play on Tuesday, Aug. 31, traveling to Bainbridge, Ga. to play Grace Christian Academy. It was the toughest test yet for the Lady Warriors. The match went to five sets and in the end, the Lady Warriors continued their winning streak, 3-2, with set scores of 22-25, 25-19, 20-25, 25-22 and 15-13.
On Thursday, Sept. 2, it was time to load up again for another trip to Tallahassee, this time for a match with North Florida Christian High School. The Lady Warriors won in three sets, 25-10, 26-24 and 25-15.
On Tuesday, Sept. 7, the Lady Warriors were finally on their home court for a rematch with Grace Christian Academy. This time, the Lady Warriors had an easier time, winning their match 3-0, with set scores of 25-12, 25-13 and 25-13.
On Thursday, Sept. 9, the Lady Warriors hosted the Lady Bulldogs of Suwannee High School. The Lady Warriors had to fight hard, but they managed to dispatch the Lady Bulldogs, 3-1. Set scores for the match were: 25-18, 22-25, 27-25 and 25-14.
The Lady Warriors were again pushed to their limit on Monday, Sept. 13, when they took another trip to the Capital City, this time to face St. John Paul II Catholic High School. After leading, 2-0, after the first two sets, the Lady Panthers battled back to force a fifth set. When the match was finished, the Lady Warriors had won the tough match, 3-2. Set scores were: 25-17, 27-25, 16-25, 15-25 and 15-13.
On Tuesday, Sept. 14, the Lady Warriors were back home to host an familiar rival, Rocky Bayou Christian High School. The Lady Warriors continued their winning ways with a 3-0 victory. The set scores were: 25-19, 25-20 and 25-7.
The next home match for the Lady Warriors is set for Thursday, Sept. 23, when the Lady Warriors play host to Countryside Christian School, from Gainesville, Fla. The match is set to get underway at 6 p.m.
