Landscaping for wildlife and other winter thoughts

The blooming exotics such as Japanese magnolias and flowering cherries are going to be be damaged because of their early bloom. Other exotics, like the large flowering azaleas and hibiscus will also sustain freeze damage from this long cold snap. Be sure to mulch well and water thoroughly. This will protect the roots and you can prune back any dead branches
