On Monday, June 26, while collaborating on an operation with Madison and Bay County deputies, Jefferson County deputies helped to locate and seize contraband from an active marijuana grow that was located at 3325 Upper Cody Rd. in Jefferson County.
Upon discovery of the grow, a man by the name of Robert Dorman began attempting to destroy the plants located at the grow site. He was able to successfully destroy approximately 30 live plants before deputies were able to detain him. 64 year old Dorman was arrested at the scene and was booked into the Jefferson County Jail for Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell, Cultivation of Marijuana and Tampering with Evidence.
A search warrant of the property led to the location of approximately 36 additional live plants, 30 pounds of dried and processed marijuana, more than 79 grams of THC wax, approximately 115.5 grams of pre-packaged medical marijuana, 10 firearms and multiple boxes of ammunition.
