It isn't often that a Jefferson County resident receives the distinction of being a part of a hall of fame, yet that was one of the many accomplishments of Miles Edward Groover, a Jefferson County local who made significant contributions to the community as an educator, extension agent, and more.
Groover was born on March 16, 1887, in Jefferson County to parents Plenty Groover and Ann Linton. Agriculture was a part of Groover's life from the beginning.
