Lesa Ann Buzbee Henderson, 61, passed away on November 26, 2022, at her home in Lloyd, Fla. Born and raised in Waukeenah, Fla., to Melvin and Betty Buzbee, she remained a lifelong resident of Jefferson County.
Lesa loved gospel music, especially when it was accompanied by sign language interpretation. She was the pianist at Waukeenah Methodist Church, her home church, for many years. She retired recently from the State of Florida, division of Vocational Rehabilitation and since enjoyed fishing, and just being on the water, with her husband of 43 years.
Lesa was predeceased by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Daniel Henderson; her faithful service dog, Keifer; sisters Maxie Miller, Melva Walker and Angie Hurtado; brothers, Ben Buzbee and Neal Buzbee; brothers-in-law, Gary and Wayne Henderson, Buddy Henderson; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Ronzano, Angela Passacantilli, and many other close relatives.
A graveside service will be held at 11a.m. on Thursday, Dec.1, 2022, at Springfield Cemetery in Lloyd, Fla. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to remember Lesa in a special way may make gifts in her memory to Paws With a Cause, 4646 Division, Wayland, Mich. 49348.
