This book fair is an important and memorable part of the school year; students look forward to the time when they can browse the books listed for sale, select their own purchases and bring home their new books and literature-themed prizes.
The Scholastic Book Fairs, held at the school several times throughout the year, offer students a chance to purchase their own books, and bring those books home with them, as a valuable possession to keep.
However, due to the school's campus closure over COVID-19, the May book fair faced some difficulty in planning; since the campus is closed and large gatherings break CDC recommendations, the school has had to get creative on how to host next month's book fair.
In order to continue the book fair tradition, Jefferson Somerset announced that students will be able to participate in an online book fair from Friday, May 1 through Thursday, May 14.
While this online fair will be different than the typical book fair at the school, it will continue to allow students to browse and purchase books of their own, all from the social-distance of their own homes.
This book fair will also be a helpful fundraiser for the school itself, with each book purchase benefiting Jefferson Somerset.
All book orders placed during the online book fair must be $25 or more, and free shipping will be offered – the books will be sent directly to your doorstep at no additional cost!
