Letter to the Editor: What is going on with the City?

In preparing to listen to the recent City of Monticello council meeting, I read several years' audits. I was not surprised to see that the auditors had recommended some changes, but I was surprised to see that the deficiencies had continued for several years. Usually, the audited agency responds to deficiencies by addressing the problem and suggesting corrective action. This apparently did not happen with the City. What is going on? I spoke to the City Clerk, the Mayor and the City Manager
