This year, the Jefferson County Lions Club will be holding its popular Wagon Raffle! For those who are unfamiliar with the raffle, the Lions Club collects a variety of “big ticket” items through donations from the community and local businesses. These items vary each year and are all placed into a wagon and raffled off. There is just one lucky winner, and they win the entire wagon! Tickets are just $1 each (or 6 tickets for $5) and you may purchase as many tickets as you like. Here's what you can hope to win:
• Signed FSU and FAMU footballs (valued at over $100 each)
• Laptop
• Ladies' and men's watches
• Men's hair trimmer
• Wallet
• 7 board games
• Photo album and digital picture frame
• Horse-shoe set
• 2 dolls

All proceeds from this fundraiser will support the Lions Club in their community outreach programs, including providing assistance to those in need of eyeglasses and hearing aids. The raffle winner will be drawn on Dec. 16 at the Lions Club Christmas party, which will be held at the Elks Lodge from 6 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. The drawing will be held at 8 p.m. and the winner does not need to be present to win. Lion June Campbell would like to thank all those who donated items, including Sheriff Mac McNeill, who provided a bicycle that will also be included in the raffle prizes.
