Bringing protective factors to life

I sincerely hope this message finds each of you doing well. I’m sure I speak for many of us when I say that I’ve learned more than I ever wanted to over the past three months and I’m not just talking about technology! However, every day now, I continue to listen, hoping to learn more, racking my brain for solutions as that is what I am wont to do. Finally, I came to realize that the best way for me to learn right now is not to listen just with my ears…but with my heart.
In doing so, I came to believe that the best thing I can do right now is to put some of this new knowledge into action by continuing to help support you in the work you’re already doing. You’re already working every day in your neighborhoods, your cities and towns using your own lives to help protect children, prevent abuse and neglect and help families heal. I hope you will be able to continue to learn from each other by listening with your ears and with your heart.
We’ll hope to help us all learn more by hosting the next installment in our webinar series. Working together with our friends at Partnership for Strong Families we will begin by focusing on one solution and a very real and promising way to reach families, Resource Centers.
Join us at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30 as we discuss this bridge for families.
Family Resource Centers are one way to help support families, prevent child abuse and neglect and prevent children from entering foster care. On this installment of the Bringing Protective Factors to Life series, we'll discuss what resource centers are, what services they provide and how Partnership for Strong Families utilizes this model to effectively serve families. We'll also discuss how this concept got started in this area and what it takes to be successful with this approach.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar
Thank you for your work, for listening and for being there for the children and families in our state.
