Lloyd Depot entrance to get fixed

Drivers entering the parking lot of the historic Lloyd Depot will have an easier time of it once the repair that county officials recently approved gets done.
On Thursday evening, Aug. 15, the Jefferson County Commission approved an expenditure of $26,000 to Capital Asphalt to repair the entrance, which wear and tear has made hazardous, according to officials.
Commissioner Austin Hosford first raised the issue several months ago, and then again on Aug. 1.
“It’s got that really bad dip in the driveway that goes down to the drain,” Hosford said of the entrance.
