Local Badcock stores to undergo major rebranding

Alexa Duarte ECB Publishing, Inc. Rumors around town and on social media have been about the local Badcock stores and if they will be closing. Monticello News has been in contact with local Badcock owners since these rumors started. Parent company, Conn's, filed for bankruptcy last week and they purchased Badcock back in December. The stores will not be closing by any means but only going through a process of rebranding to stay under the Badcock name or changing the name to either stay with the same inventory, staff and location. An inventory liquidation sale started on Thursday, July 25, and will run until Thursday, Oct. 31, so that the old merchandise will go out to bring in new mer
