Local garden club hands out over 200 free plants

Heather Ainsley ECB Publishing, Inc.  Last month, the Jefferson County Garden Hugger Club hosted two springtime plant giveaways, where they handed out a variety of different vegetable and herb plants to local residents who were interested in starting up a garden of their own at home. These events, held on Saturday, March 22, and Saturday, March 29, were a great success, with the garden club handing out approximately 150 plants at the first event, and around 95 plants during the second.
