
Lying low through the windy bits

We were trapped in our property for a few days after Hurricane Helene stormed through. Of all the trees that came down, none of them thankfully hit the house but four humongous ones blocked our only way out to the highway. A couple of friendly fellows helped us with the chainsaw work, and my hubby maneuvered the chopped up hunks off the driveway with the tractor claw. I still feel a bit like a mouse in a woodpile when I come through the gate every day, but these things happen.
