Mackenzie Edson raises money for local non-profit

For those who enjoyed a pleasant stroll around Downtown Monticello during this year's Watermelon Festival, they undoubtedly met young Mackenzie Edson, a special little girl who has started a fundraiser to support Jefferson County's Wolf Creek Pet Adoption Center. Mackenzie was hard at work manning her very own booth, selling tickets to a raffle designed to bring 31 lucky winners a special prize throughout the month of July. The proceeds of her raffle will go to benefit the animals at Wolf Creek, and while tickets were sold throughout the Watermelon Festival, members of the public can still purchase raffle tickets until the end of June. Mackenzie and
