A man who solicited a Jefferson County minor for sex acts and sexually explicit images or videos has been arrested in the State of Louisiana by Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FLDE) agents.
Christopher Andrew Anderson, 24, has been arrested after an investigation into the case began in July by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO).
After receiving a complaint that a 12-year-old child had been contacted and solicited for nude images online, the JCSO reached out to the FDLE to ask for their assistance in pursuing the case.
According to the FLDE, Anderson identified himself as a 24-year-old male from Louisiana and sent sexually explicit videos or images of himself to the victim, and then requested that the victim send nude pictures in return. Anderson also expressed an interest in kidnapping the victim.
FDLE agents and JCSO investigators eventually identified the suspect as a resident of Norco, La., and through a partnership with Louisiana's St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office, the FDLE was able to serve search warrants at Anderson's home.
Investigators found evidence that indicated that Anderson may have solicited images from other children as well.
In addition to the charges being pressed against him in Florida, Anderson was arrested by Louisiana authorities for possession of child pornography.
Anderson was booked into the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Jail, where he currently awaits extradition to Florida. The case will be prosecuted by Florida State Attorney Jack Campbell's office.
