On Saturday, June 24, Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Tavoris Morris for speeding, and upon stopping the vehicle, deputies gained probable cause for a narcotics search.
Deputies conducted a search and located approximately 59.2 grams of cocaine and 19.1 grams of marijuana. Deputies also located a handgun, digital scales, additional drug paraphernalia consistent with drug sales and approximately $5,758 in cash.
Morris was arrested and booked into the Jefferson County Jail for Trafficking in Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Bond was set at $35,500 and he posted bond shortly after and was released.
