Man arrested under Second Degree Murder charges

Story submitted by JCSO On Saturday, Jan. 25, at approximately 1:20 a.m., Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) received a 911 call in reference to a shooting at 4205 St. Augustine Rd. The victim’s daughter advised Dispatch that her father had been shot and his vehicle was stolen. Upon arrival to the scene, deputies located the victim laying on the side of St. Augustine Rd., suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Deputies on scene learned that a man named Brandon Campbell had shot the victim and had then stolen his vehicle. Campbell fled the scene in the victim’s truck.
