Manhunt leads to arrest

On Thursday, June 6, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) got a call about a disturbance at a residence located on S. Main Avenue in which a woman by the name of Tammy Vaillancourt reportedly had used a firearm to threaten a family member. Upon being alerted that law enforcement was on its way,Vaillancourt fled the scene on foot.
According to a press release from the JCSO, JCSO personnel responded by setting up a perimeter and requesting the assistance of the Jefferson Correctional Institute (JCI), who brought out tracking K-9s to assist with finding Vaillancourt.
