Mary Saliba, entered her heavenly home on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at the age of 86 years. We are sure she is enjoying the reunion with her parents Eustice and Louise Blair, her brother, Sharon Blair and beloved cat, Simba.
A native of Monticello, Florida, Mary attended the Florida State University and the University of Central Florida. She graduated with a degree in art and a minor in photography. She was an excellent seamstress and an avid Florida State University fan.
Mary excelled in her careers ranging from school secretary to administrative/bookkeeping positions. She retired from Brevard County schools as a librarian assistant.
She enjoyed her retirement as a “cat lady” and in the company of her friends and family. She was most excited lately about the upcoming wedding of her grandson, Brad.
Mary is fondly remembered and survived by her sister, Evelyn Poindexter; son, Blair Saliba; daughter, Angie Bruce (Beau); grandsons, Daniel Bruce (Hayley), Nathan Bruce (Katie) and Brad Saliba (Ashley); great grand-daughter, Evelyn Bruce; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Mary’s life was held on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 2 to 4 pm at an open house at 828 Ridge Lake Road in Melbourne, FL.
Visitors were welcome to share an appetizer and all their great stories about Mary! Mary’s ashes were spread later in a private ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Mary can be made to In Touch Ministries at intouch.org/get-involved/give.
