Hiram Masonic Lodge No. 5 has named its leaders for 2026. On Monday, Jan. 12, Jason Johnson from Florida's Sixth Masonic District officiated the ceremony, during which he installed the following officers: Incoming Worshipful Master Ben Hensarling, Senior Warden Ed Gifford, Junior Warden Dean Kossol, Senior Deacon James Shiver and Junior Deacon Harry Brown.
Freemasonry is based on the values of integrity, kindness, honesty and fairness. Freemasons develop a caring brotherhood among themselves but also practice charity in the community as a whole through giving and volunteer efforts.
Monticello's Hiram Lodge No. 5 meets at 235 N. Olive St. on the second Monday of each month for a meal at 6:30 p.m. followed by a meeting at 7:30 p.m. For more information, call Secretary Roy Faglie at 850-933-2938.
