May prayer breakfast recap

Laura Young ECB Publishing, Inc. The 2023-24 season for the Monticello Community Prayer Breakfast wrapped up on Thursday, May 2. For the occasion, the Rotary Club went all out with a gourmet buffet. They set up a tailgate style grill area in a courtyard between the First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, the hosting church, and the old library building on Cherry Street. As a variety of breakfast meats sizzled outside, the buffet tables inside filled up with three types of grits with various toppings, a stylish fruit display and a choice of egg casserole or scrambled eggs.
